Huihui has over 13 years of experience in the field of Educational Psychology. Her work experience as a psychologist at the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Early Intervention (EI) settings have led her to work with children and adolescents across developmental stages. Huihui has experience in identification and assessments for conditions such as Specific Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Intellectual Disability. She has also been involved in intervention support in areas like social skills, emotional regulation and school-based anxiety. Huihui has worked closely with schools and parents to provide training, consultation and coordinate support to children with additional needs.
In both assessment and intervention work, Huihui believes in a collaborative process with parents, teachers and individuals to formulate needs, understand concerns and identify appropriate support strategies. She aims to foster understanding and acceptance of diverse strengths and needs, with the goal of implementing child-centred and inclusive support.
Huihui finds great joy and satisfaction in her work with individuals with diverse needs and hopes to contribute towards a society that is inclusive and accessible for all. She has volunteered in different capacities with various organisations, such as with SPED schools, social services, the ReadAble Literacy programme, and manning the National Care Hotline during the COVID-19 pandemic.
